  After booking 2 nights accommodation 3 weeks ago at the Comfort Inn, at Clare Central my sister, her husband & 4 month old baby drove the 9 hours yesterday only to receive a call at 2:30pm confirming their reservation. They confirmed they would be arriving around 7pm. So they were extremely surprised when they arrived at 6:40pm to be told they didn't have a booking??? Maybe they were at the wrong place they thought so went back to the car & called the number back that rang them at 2:30 to confirm their booking. Again the lady denied a booking, only to finally admit that yes they did have a booking but gave away their room earlier in the afternoon to a couple who called in to check for a vacancy - apparently they didn't think they would show up for their reservation that they had confirmed only hours earlier!!

  Yes they did feel terrible when my sister walked back in with her screaming baby and were very apologetic - that doesn't help much when you've no longer got a room to accomodate their confirmed booking does it!!
